Hi sewing lovers!šŸ˜Sharing with you a sewing tip for beginners…”On the picture you can see a little bit about “parts” of fabrics. As you learn about sewing, you will understand how it matters to recognize all parts of a fabric.Selvage is always the edge of the fabric that was not cut when we buy it. The part that it is already cut is named “the cut edge”.Maybe those who don’t know about sewing yet, will ask themselves why does it matter which edge of fabric you use. Well, It REALLY changes the appearance of a garment depending of how we place the pattern over the fabric when we cut it.
