Today I share with you, as an inspirational image, the textile work of the wonderful Liz Payne, Australian artist who makes the pieces you see below:

I love to appreciate how she uses color and “steal” some color matching ideas for my clothes. That’s what being able to see other people’s work is about. To be inspired by what they do, take what we like the most and transform it by giving it our own signature.

Don’t just stick with the idea of seeking inspiration to sew in clothing. Try to be inspired by everything that is in your way, nature, industrial design, architecture, food. ALL.

That said, I’m also sharing some ideas to make sleeves. There are endless ways to work and modify sleeves, explore and learn these ways!
